Two people were killed early this morning in Pennsylvania when the driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed the vehicle in which they were riding. The driver, was traveling north around 3 a.m. when she fell asleep and lost control of the car. The car veered off the highway, crossed a grass median and hit a grass embankment that separates the north and south lanes of the road. The vehicle was launched over the embankment, and came crashing down in the westbound lane. The car then crashed into a concrete bridge support. Driver and one passenger were taken to the hospital. The two other passengers were all pronounced dead at the scene. The two people who survived the crash were wearing seat belts. The passengers who died were not wearing seatbelts.
